Crown him with many crowns
1. Crown Him with many crowns,
the Lamb upon His throne.
Hark! How the heavenly anthem drowns
all music but its own.
Awake, my soul, and sing
of Him who died for thee,
and hail Him as thy matchless King
through all eternity.
2. Crown Him the virgin’s Son,
the God incarnate born,
whose arm those crimson trophies won
which now His brow adorn;
fruit of the mystic rose,
as of that rose the stem;
the root whence mercy ever flows,
the Babe of Bethlehem.
3. Crown Him the Son of God,
before the worlds began,
and ye who tread where He hath trod,
crown Him the Son of Man;
who every grief hath known
that wrings the human breast,
and takes and bears them for His own,
that all in Him may rest.
4. Crown Him the Lord of life,
who triumphed over the grave,
and rose victorious in the strife
for those He came to save.
His glories now we sing,
who died, and rose on high,
who died eternal life to bring,
and lives that death may die.
5. Crown Him the Lord of peace,
whose power a scepter sways
from pole to pole, that wars may cease,
and all be prayer and praise.
His reign shall know no end,
and round His piercèd feet
fair flowers of paradise extend
their fragrance ever sweet.
6. Crown Him the Lord of love,
behold His hands and side,
those wounds, yet visible above,
in beauty glorified.
No angel in the sky
can fully bear that sight,
but downward bends his burning eye
at mysteries so bright.
7. Crown Him the Lord of Heaven,
enthroned in worlds above,
crown Him the King to Whom is given t
he wondrous name of Love.
Crown Him with many crowns,
as thrones before Him fall;
crown Him, ye kings, with many crowns,
for He is King of all.
8. Crown Him the Lord of lords,
who over all doth reign,
who once on earth, the incarnate Word,
for ransomed sinners slain,
now lives in realms of light,
where saints with angels sing
their songs before Him day and night,
their God, Redeemer, King.
9. Crown Him the Lord of years,
the Potentate of time,
creator of the rolling spheres,
ineffably sublime.
All hail, Redeemer, hail!
For Thou has died for me;
Thy praise and glory shall not fail
throughout eternity.

Now Israel´s hope in triumph ends
1. Now Israel’s hope in triumph ends,
with angels’ glorious song ascends
a star of heavenly splendor.
O’er Bethlehem it shineth bright,
all people guided by its light,
shall come and homage render.
Great light,
bright light,
now descendeth,
darkness endeth,
day beginneth;
light to all the world it bringeth.
2. Among us dwells in truth and grace
the hidden God, who loves our race;
he brought us all salvation.
The glory of the Son we see,
the only Son’s true majesty,
and bow in adoration.
Draw near
and hear,
every nation now salvation
God bestoweth
and His love and mercy showeth.
3. Rejoice, my soul, and bless His Name
who to the lost and fallen came
to open Heaven’s portals.
Rejoice that God will mercy show,
the broken covenant renew
with us poor sinful mortals.
Now be
glory
ever given
God in Heaven;
peace unending
be to earth from Heaven descending.

The great Physician now is near
1. The great Physician now is near,
the sympathizing Jesus.
He speaks the drooping heart to cheer,
oh! hear the voice of Jesus.
Sweetest note in seraph song,
sweetest Name on mortal tongue,
sweetest carol ever sung
Jesus, blessed Jesus.
2. All glory to the dying Lamb!
I now believe in Jesus.
I love the blessed Savior's Name,
I love the Name of Jesus.
Sweetest note in seraph song...
3. Your many sins are all forgiv'n
oh! hear the voice of Jesus!
Go on your way in peace to heav'n
and wear a crown with Jesus.
Sweetest note in seraph song...
4. His Name dispels my guilt and fear,
no other name but Jesus.
Oh! how my soul delights to hear
the charming Name of Jesus.
Sweetest note in seraph song...
5. Come, brethren, help me sing His praise,
oh, praise the Name of Jesus!
Oh, sisters, all your voices raise,
oh, bless the Name of Jesus!
Sweetest note in seraph song...
6. The children, too, both great and small
who love the Name of Jesus,
may now accept the gracious call
to work and live for Jesus.
Sweetest note in seraph song...
Sweetest note in seraph song...
we rise to see our Jesus,
we'll sing around the throne of love
his Name, the Name of Jesus.
Sweetest note in seraph song...

Stricken, smitted and afflicted
1. Stricken, smitten, and afflicted,
see Him dying on the tree!
’Tis the Christ by man rejected;
yes, my soul, ’tis He, ’tis He!
´Tis the long expected prophet,
David’s Son, yet David’s Lord;
proofs I see sufficient of it:
’tis a true and faithful Word.
2. Tell me, ye who hear Him groaning,
was there ever grief like His?
Friends through fear His cause disowning,
foes insulting his distress:
Many hands were raised to wound Him,
none would interpose to save;
but the deepest stroke that pierced Him
was the stroke that Justice gave.
3. Ye who think of sin but lightly,
nor suppose the evil great,
here may view its nature rightly,
here its guilt may estimate.
Mark the Sacrifice appointed!
See Who bears the awful load!
´Tis the Word, the Lord’s Anointed,
Son of Man, and Son of God.
4. Here we have a firm foundation,
here the refuge of the lost.
Christ the Rock of our salvation,
Christ the Name of which we boast.
Lamb of God for sinners wounded!
Sacrifice to cancel guilt!
None shall ever be confounded
who on Him their hope have built.

Seek ye first the kingdom of God
1. Seek ye first the kingdom of God
and his righteousness,
and all these things shall be added unto you,
hallelu, halleluja!
2. Man shall live not by bread alone,
but by every word
that proceeds from the mouth of God,
hallelu, halleluja!
3. Ask, and it shall be given unto you,
seek and ye shall find,
knock and the door shall be opened unto you,
hallelu, halleluja!
4. Seek ye first the kingdom of God
and his righteousness,
and all these things shall be added unto you,
hallelu, halleluja!
I walk in danger all the way
1. I walk in danger all the way;
the thought shall never leave me
that Satan, who has marked his prey,
is plotting to deceive me.
This foe with hidden snares
may seize me unawares
if e'er I fail to watch and pray.
I walk in danger all the way.
2. I pass through trials all the way,
with sin and ills contending;
in patience I must bear each day
the cross of God's own sending.
When in adversity
I know not where to flee,
when storms of woe my soul dismay,
I pass through trials all the way.
3. And death pursues me all the way,
nowhere I rest securely;
he comes by night, he comes by day,
he takes his prey most surely.
A failing breath, and I
in death's strong grasp may lie
to face eternity today.
As death pursues me all the way.
4. I walk with angels all the way,
they shield me and befriend me;
all Satan's pow'r is held at bay
when heav'nly hosts attend me;
they are my sure defense,
all fear and sorrow, hence!
Unharmed by foes, do what they may,
I walk with angels all the way.
5. I walk with Jesus all the way;
His guidance never fails me;
within His wounds I find a stay
when Satan's pow'r assails me;
and by His footsteps led,
my path I safely tread.
No evil leads my soul astray;
I walk with Jesus all the way.
6. My walk is heav'nward all the way;
await, my soul, the morrow,
when God's good healing shall allay
all suff'ring, sin, and sorrow.
Then, worldly pomp, begone!
To heav'n I now press on.
For all the world I would not stay;
my walk is heav'nward all the way.

Jerusalem, thou city fair and high
1. Jerusalem, thou city fair and high,
would God I were in thee!
My longing heart fain, fain to thee would fly,
it will not stay with me;
far over vale and mountain,
far over field and plain,
it hastes to seek its Fountain
and quit this world of pain.
2. Oh happy day, and yet far happier hour,
when wilt thou come at last?
When fearless to my Father's love and power, whose promise standeth fast,
my soul I gladly render,
for surely will His hand
lead her with guidance tender
to heaven her fatherland.
3. A moment's space, and gently, wondrously, released from earthly ties,
the fiery car shall bear her up to thee
through all these lower skies,
to yonder shining regions,
while down to meet her come
the blessed angel legions,
and bid her welcome home.
4. Oh Zoin, hail! Bright city, now unfold
the gates of grace to me!
How many a time I long'd for thee of old,
ere yet I was set free
from yon dark life of sadness,
yon world of shadowy nought,
and God had given the gladness,
the heritage I sought.
5. Oh what the tribe, or what the glorious host, comes sweeping swiftly down?
The chosen ones on earth who wrought the most, the Church's brightest crown,
our Lord hath sent to meet me,
as in the far-off years
their words oft came to greet me
in yonder land of tears.
6. The Patriarchs' and Prophets' noble train,
with all Christ's followers true,
who bore the cross, and could the worst disdain
that tyrants dared to do,
I see them shine for ever,
all-glorious as the sun,
'mid light that fadeth never,
their perfect freedom won.
7. And when within that lovely Paradise
at last I safely dwell,
from out my blissful soul what songs shall rise,
what joy my lips shall tell,
while holy saints are singing
Hosannas o'er and o'er,
pure Hallelujahs ringing
around me evermore.
8. Innumerous choirs before the shining throne
their joyful anthems raise,
till Heaven's glad halls are echoing with the tone
of that great hymn of praise,
and all its host rejoices,
and all its blessed throng
unite their myriad voices
in one eternal song!
